Deamentia's Legacy
At an early age, Deamentia was hit hard with brain
dementia (hence her name). This disease was so traumatic to the young
child that she lost her ability to speak. Considered a mute and useless
child, she was then raised and conditioned to server under the flag of
Mayong Mistmoore. However, when his alliance with his Teir`Dal brethren
went sour, Deamentia opted to return to her homeland and finish her teachings
as an enchantress.
Mayong was very fond of this maiden and refused
to let her go. One night as she lied still in her bed chambers, the lord
of darkness appeared to her and strickened her with the Nosferatu disease,
making her totally anemic and doomed to be a creature of the night. Many
times did she try to flee that nightmarish castle, but it was only through
the interventions of a lone monk, Amchan, that enabled her to escape.
As an enchanter, she is able to assume forms -
in some of these forms, she can regain the power of speech for a short
time. Due to her seperation of Mistmoore, Deamentia does not hold many
of the respective powers a normal vampire might have. In fact, many of
her powers have lost their luster. She has a keen sense of sight and smell
(especially for blood) and when in a frenzied feeding mood, her eyes will
often glow blood red. Deamentia also possesses a short range of telekinesis,
which can also enable her to levitate.
Now, alone and free from the powers of Mistmoore,
Deamentia tries to reacquaint herself with the culture and workings of
the outside world. As an adoptee of the Knights of Phoenix, she strives
to keep her hunger at bay, while performing honorable services to her
comrads. And while this hunger, on occasion, gets the best of her, she
hopes to one day contain it. But she knows the only path to true freedom
and redemption is to slay the man that initially damned her - Mayong Mistmoore.

Vampires in the Mist
Dear friends, as many of you know we now have a
knight who is also a vampire. Now while that may seem shocking for a guild
of our high standing to allow a bloodsucking creature into our midst please
note that Deamentia is a good vampire who controls her craving for blood
as best she can. However, there are times when her thirst cannot be controled
*sleep walking* so I suggest you all put a silver horseshoe above your
door frame and hang garlic at the windows before going to bed. Deamentia's
handsome mahogany coffin is located under the floor boards of the female
barracks so step lightly and try not to disrupt her sleep times. This
way she will stay there and not walk the halls in a half sleeping stupor
looking for people to suck blood from. Deamentia often enjoys a stroll
through the graveyard at nights and loves to have knights join her, but
make sure she is not hungry - bring along a little flask of blood to tide
her over. Remember, be kind to this vampire, she cannot help being what
she is and with our love and brotherhood she will be a happy knight. *hugs
and kisses to Deamentia* Welcome to the family vampire sis!
Love,
Archel Montano

Re: Vampires in the Mist
Justia walks through the barracks and *accidentally*
spills a whole bucket of holy water on the floor.
OOPS!!!! I hope none of that seeps through the
boards. I will be right back. I am going to get a torch to dry that up.

Re: vampires in the mist
Deamentia observes the acidic water seep through
the ceiling above and begins to panic while trying to shake Tawin off
her leg. This is not a good harbinger.

Debranna Summons Archel and Amchan
Debranna paces the stately room in the tower high
above the courtyard. Dismayed over recent events within the walls of the
Guild Hall. She ponders the moral and practical issues surrounding the
Teir`Dal child who seeks shelter within its mighty walls.
Keeping her own counsel, she debates the problems.
While it may be true that the child is an accursed abomination not of
her own creation, the safety of the Knights and their families is her
most pressing priority. Somehow there must be a way to secure the Keep
in a way that will not distress the child and those loyal knights who
seek to protect her. But protect her from what? This too has her baffled.
She remembers the sleepless night when she paced the solomn and empty
halls of the Keep...
As she walked silently through the familiar halls,
she felt a presence of malignant force. Shaking off the chills that rippled
through her nightclothes she continued down the circular stairwell that
leads to the kitchen. There in the eerie light of the dying embers of
the great kitchen hearth she spied the child Deamentia. Sensing the wood
elf's presence the child turned and looked at the Ranger with her red
eyes that glowed in the gloom. Debranna could not make out what the child
was doing but the remnants of what was held in the tiny hands were quickly
tossed into the smouldering fire. Instantly, the flames burst with new
life and an acrid odor filled the kitchen and made Debranna's eyes water.
The child quickly slipped through the door into the back courtyard. Debranna
ran to the heavy oaken door and searched the yard in the silvery moonlight.
Her green elven eyes lost the form of the child in the shadows beyond...
Now in the light of day it all seemed to be a nightmare.
Yet she knew her practical mind does not betray her. An evil lurks in
the Keep and under the protection of her own knights! Something must be
done! She summons Amchan and Archel to her chambers.

A sealed note..
is posted on the wall. It reads;
"To those I called family and friends. Today
I took my departure from your kin. I will not work amungst the ranks when
a demon child is near. I trust her NONE. Today as a group of us were meandering
around the Aviak city, she hazed over continuously. To the point she several
times would ignore us all completely, and we scraped by barely living.
I do not trust her. I am a FAITHFUL servant to Tunare and to all you other
Clerics and Paladins who claim virtue within our ranks and but have taken
the side of a VAMPIRESS just simply disgust me. I was scolded by Edwina
for booting the demoness in the rear end to get her to pay attention to
her dying group. I do not know what she has done to you all but I can
not and will not be a part of this guild, for it has become evil. Look
around you. Your kin and your brethren are now defending a demoness, and
calling it sister. You claim nobility, virtue and all other qualities
of purity yet you let this EVIL creatures find sanctuary in your home.
It has attacked you, drank from you, and threatened you. Yet you trust
it, you pity it and you doll it up to being 'innocent', a poor 'victim.
However the only victim I would find it to be, is the victim of its own
demise. When a small demon appears in the woods and puts on a smile, and
there is no one around to see her true evil. Will the blood of those she
kills, still drip?
May you remain safe, for Tunare shall turn her
back on you soon enough. A curse or a gift from her master.

Part XX: From the pages of Edwina's Journal
She came to me today...the child that Amchan took
from Mayong Mistmoore. She sat before me, tears streaming from her red
eyes and scribed a note, then handed it to me. I took her to me to comfort
her whilst I struggled reading the passage. My Tier'Dal, tho excellent,
is quite rusty from non-use these days. Before I could decipher more than
a few words (some concern over Amchan, I believe), she fled from me. I
hastily put the note aside...perhaps Lalanu can assist me in the translation...and
hurried after her. I saw her use her telekenisis to remove Archel's Holy
Blade from the Armory wall and hurl it towards herself. Whether it was
an attempt to cleanse herself of her curse or to do away with herself,
I know not. Thankfully, the blade stopped short of her chest.
Many of the Knights feel that this child is out
to harm our order, but I cannot but feel that she strives toward the Light.
Or perhaps that is merely a poor clerics wish. Amchan has gone to Aka'non
to speak to a Professor there. Hopefully, when he returns, he will also
bring answers.
Hmmm...I wonder. Perhaps our good friend Bowyn,
Vicar of Brell, might be able to shed some light on this. I shall write
him this day!

Part um 22 - Archel's confession
So here I am, praying before the altar of our chapel,
tonight it has happened and as I swore to myself I will tell all that
I know to the others. Deamentia has attacked a dear friend of mine, not
provoked by hunger but by a burning rage that I shuddered to witness.
Although I know she is a victim herself, she puts others in grave danger
of incurring her wrath and thereby being wounded. I go now to tell Edwina
of the...bloodletting, of Amchan's illness, the curse she is under surely
does curse us all now! Lord Marr forgive me of my silence, may my words
now bring truth forth fully as you wish it done.

Part 23 - Amchan's Disgrace
Amchan,
You have not only disgraced your Brothers and Sisters
of the Order, but yourself as well. Last night, the Army of Mistmoore
sacked our dojo and outpost near the Felwithe border in retaliation for
your actions. It was rumored that the Mayong Mistmoore himself lead the
massacre and that hes now offering a bounty
a bounty for the
return of the child and the head of the ones responsible. Weve counted
thirty of our brothers and sisters dead and six missing.
Why, Amchan? Why did you go against my wishes and
pursue this child? The Order, nor I can aid you in your matters from this
moment forth. It is the decision of the Order to exercise an excommunication
against you. There will be no further contact.
I do have this parting advice: Seek out Professor
Dado at the University of Ak`anon. She may have the answers you seek.
May Quellious forgive and guide you,
Xia Fan Long

Agantis' most recent encounter
12, September 3156
Lately this journal is the only thing I can trust..
All but me are attracted to this demoness as a playful youth who poses
no danger to us.. I know she has befallen this dreaded curse that I shudder
to think about, yet I in no way agree with the actions my friends are
taking. Today while roaming the halls for some needed excercise I came
across the child, and much to my dismay, a close friend of mine lay on
the ground, bloody and whithered as though the very essence of his soul
were taken away by this girl. I charged at her screaming and preparing
a mighty blast to vanquish the damned girl forever, but she looked at
me with her eyes, the deepest shade of red, and I hesitated. Long enough
so she could escape.. I know think only two things when I remember the
way her eyes looked. I remember how much I wish I let loose that flame
of fury, and remember seeing the sadness in those eyes as though she wished
I would continue. That moment alone drives me upon the brink of insanity.
I hold a great deal of respect for my family, and
they think she can be saved. I do not wish to harm the child, but if the
Teir`Dal must be killed to rid us of the plague, then so be it. I am now
proposed with two choices. Kill the girl, or kill the plague. I know I
cannot kill the girl at this time.. What would my brothers and sisters
think? This being my situation, I must storm the Castle of Mayong Mistmoore
to slay that wretched beast and rid the world of his wrongdoings. I cannot
help thinking I will not leave the place alive if I go in alone, but who
am I to trust? I have to do this... Not for the child, but everyone she
intends on murdering to satisfy her treacherous cravings. Tunare help
me, if no one else will put an end to this, I'll be damned if I wont.

Re: Agantis' most recent encounter
I must apologize my brother, for I did not mean
to turn the pages of your fate, but I couldnt help myself as I found laying
on the ground wide open, who left it there I know not, but I have already
begun searching for the root of the plague, and yes I will help you in
your endeavor as I believe that we shall over come it and triumph someday,
and f i must call upon my personal body guard, Kenas Silverwolf, I will.
He is always on stand by. He to was trained in Tunares ways, and is much
much more powerful that many I have encountered so he may prove useful,
please tell me how he can be of service, but I can say this, his magic
nothing compared to my blades, even he asked me to train him in the ancient
ways of the Koada' Dal.
