The
Distant Past...
Maylana was the first to go off on her own between the
twins... but has spent more time with other bards learning songs and having
fun whereas Shandryll has concentrated more on progressing through the
seasons. She is the most headstrong to the point of foolishiness at times.
Like Shandryll, Maylana's true origins are a mystery that are currently
being uncovered in Nefaria's
Revenge.
What
we know...
Maylana has always been plagued by... an evil side for lack of a better
term. Although Shandryll knows this feeling, she doesn't experience it
to the degree that Maylana does. It is this evil in her that caused her
to leave the family home and go off adventuring so young. She believed
that there was something out there that could stop her evil side, but
she hasn't found it to this day and now believes it was a childish dream.
Her evil side is something she has not only learned to cope with, but
use to her advantage until it overwhelms her. However, Maylana is much
more naive than her sister Shandryll, which has been the cause of the
evil to rise within her many times over.
Maylana was actually the
first to meet Neaadan Lupinespirit. When she was first starting out, he
helped her with some gear and pointers on good areas to hunt. Maylana,
however, shyed away from much contact with people for a long time. She
felt as if she were missing something in her life... but she didn't know
what.
Maylana's cousin, Rayella,
introduced her to Mornaric Diniall... a knight of the old code. They seemingly
had much in common from the beginning and fell desperately in love with
each other. After many meetings and many a romantic word, they eloped
to the shock of their friends and family. However, their differences soon
caught up with them. They found themselves more apart and becoming more
and more distant from each other, so they went their seperate ways. Their
last goodbye can be read here.
After Maylana and Mornaric
were no more, Maylana began to change. The current changes she is going
through are also in a thread on the message board in a forum called The
Songbook.
Maylana still searches for
the cause of her evil sickness as she helps Shandryll search for their
long lost dark elf sister. A sister she secretly hates, but she would
help Shandryll to the ends of Norrath and back. In their attempts to unravel
the mystery behind this dark elf sister, Maylana and Shandryll will find
out more then they bargained for in Nefaria's
Revenge. Come help us play out the story!
